The BT Investment Management (BTIM) team, who manage the MySuper investment solution for BT Business Super, was awarded Fund Manager of the Year from Money Magazine in 2014. In February 2014, BT was awarded Business Superannuation Manager of the Year for 2013 by leading independent research company Roy Morgan.
The default MySuper investment option is based on Lifestage investing. This approach offers a diversified portfolio designed and managed according to the member’s age.
Large support and advice network
We are the largest administrator of super, retirement and investments in Australia. Members can receive phone support or chat online to a super expert when they need. They can also access General Advice and Limited Advice over the phone.
Members can receive Standard Cover Insurance ($300,000 of Death and Permanent Disablement cover) or they can personalise their plan through a number of upgrades to Standard Cover.
If a member would like to tailor their investments, they can select from a range of over 30 managed funds and securities.
What are the investment options?
If an employee would prefer to choose their own investment mix, they can select from over 30 investment options offering exposure to different asset classes and different levels of risk.
How is super administered?
Employers can manage their employees super and make contributions through BT Online Employer (BTOE). The online portal also allows employers to make contributions for all employees regardless of whether they have selected BT. A free clearing house facility is offered through QuickSuper.
Employees can also access BT Online to view their balance, make additional contributions, and switch their investment options.
The following plans show how a member can customise or add features to the standard plan.
If your client does not make a selection, their money is invested in a BT MySuper Lifestage investment option.
- The BT MySuper Lifestage Investment Option is actively managed by BT Investment (Institutional) Management and is based on the year you were born. There is a different BT MySuper Lifestage Investment Option for each decade designed to suit investors born within that decade whose investment needs and approach to risk over time is typical of investors around the same age. Over time the BT MySuper Lifestage Investment Option will gradually shift to a more conservative asset mix.
- Standard Cover Insurance ($300,000 of Death and Permanent Disablement cover).
Specify an investment mix and increase your insurance coverage.
- Select a mix you think is suitable from over 30 investment options. These include investment options offering exposure to different asset classes and different levels of risk and are managed by a range of leading investment managers.
- Increase insurance coverage to include things such as Salary Continuance Insurance cover.
